OLIVE MILL DAVIDOVIĆ

 

The Davidović family from the Paštrovići region grows about 750 olive trees of different varieties – Žutica, Crnjaka, Levantinka, Coratina, Leccino, Koroneiki and Picual.

The family tradition dates back to 1757, when an olive mill was bought, of which there is a written record in the form of a Paštrović declaration, which is kept in the family collection. Today, Stevo Davidović has his own line for processing olives and producing olive oil. In a dedicated and meticulous manner, he controls the entire process – growing, replanting, feeding, protecting, harvesting, and processing olives, as well as packaging olive oil. In this way, a uniform and safe product quality is created.

The quality of Davidović olive oil is confirmed by numerous awards from regional and world competitions, the most prestigious of which is the gold medal for the quality of extra-virgin olive oil at the world’s largest competition in New York in 2022.

The Davidović family supported the project of the House of Olives even before its inception. With united forces, Uljara Davidović and the House of Olives aspire to build modern Montenegrin olive cultivation, relying on old traditions and friendship between the region of Bar and Paštrovići.
