An essential part of our OLIVE SHOP is the laureate of the XXI Maslinijada – extra virgin olive oil “Barsko zlato”.
For a long and healthy life, we are told by Barska uljara, a nearby olive oil production facility, which prides itself on having the largest processing capacity in Montenegro.
Equipped according to the most modern standards, Barsko zlato is produced using mechanical processing methods, through cold centrifugation systems on the latest Italian machines. In addition to secondary production, Barska uljara also takes care of around 3,200 olive trees of the native, autochthonous Žutica variety. It is a sustainable and eco-friendly company that turns production waste into a new product – heating pellets.
Barsko zlato olive oil is the official gift of the Municipality of Bar during diplomatic visits, and Barska uljara is the main sponsor of the basketball club “Mornar” from Bar, a symbol of the sunniest city in Montenegro. The general distributor of Barsko zlato is our largest retail chain – VOLI, which is another guarantee of quality!
In the “House of Olives”, you will find extra virgin olive oil Barsko zlato, as well as various luxury packaging options, including olive oil with St. John’s wort. Premium olive oil ZLATNO Barsko zlato, made from hand-picked olives, is placed on the central shelf in the Gastro shop, as well as Barsko zlato Limited Edition, a product whose handmade wooden box gives new life to pruned olive branches.
Winner of quality awards from the USA, Italy, Croatia, Serbia, and Montenegro, Barsko zlato is also a proud bearer of the “Good from Montenegro” label, awarded by the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro for top-quality products that innovatively preserve traditional values of Montenegrin agriculture.
